Improvements in company structure are reaping benefits in the development area of the business. These changes have brought all development activity across all business areas into a single unit under the control of the Development Manager. As part of the program to continually improve customer service, meet the demands of a growing user base looking to move the products forward and to improve product usage within the customer base, additional developers have joined the team to provide a dedicated 3rd line support. The additional developers' primary role is to work with the customer services personnel to resolve logged calls where modifications to data or an application code issue has been identified. Compac Gold has been through a Usergroup requested development cycle over the last year, with a focus on the risk management side of commodity trading, logistics, storage and rental and Groups and Pools. With the products trading dominance the new functionality sees the product strive even further ahead of the field.
Inteletrade and Agrenet have been developed, deployed and provide both a Business to Business (B2B) Internet application and an on line clearing house, enabling us to be a one stop shop for agricultural companies wishing to do business with customers and suppliers over the Web.
Generation has been rolled out to members of The Seeds Club and is beginning to sell to other seed producing businesses. Its success has spawned the evolution of Seedwise, available over the Internet for smaller seed businesses, who want to rent package software and avoid the costs and expertise required for managing an internal application.
