One of the original design objectives for Compac Gold was to replace and enhance the functionality available from our character based Feed Compounding package Compac Classic which was widely deployed and is still successfully running Feed Mills today. This was achieved utilising a modern 4th Generation technology, namely Progress with the advantages of a relational database, windows presentation and ’open’ availability.

The system is configurable to meet the organisational and physical characteristics of most feed producers, e.g. multiple mills, central or partially central purchasing and local or centralised sales order processing.

The ’second generation’ nature of Compac Gold enabled the design to embrace the rapidly evolving and increasingly stringent requirements demanded from all management and control systems, whose core functionality related to production and distribution in the food chain. Furthermore the ability was created to utilise evolving standards in order to facilitate the productivity gains available from increased integration with other specialised systems.

With Compac Gold’s feed manufacture module "Producer" you can count on:

• Integrated raw material requirement planning and purchase contract management systems.
• A sales order processing and contacting system with comprehensive automated pricing mechanisms fro the production of GAFTA, UKASTA and FOSFA contracts..

Compac Gold’s predecessor Compac Classic was the first software package designed for The Agricultural Supply Industry in the United Kingdom. It was written in DIBOL an established 3rd Generation Language (3GL) and it still successfully operates in a variety of agricultural businesses today. It is modular in design and has a strong emphasis on purchase order processing, production, sales order processing and management reporting.
