Planning
Compac Gold is designed to provide integrated planning functions at three levels.
- Medium/long term raw material requirement planning (MRP).
- Short term planning to facilitate just in time stock control and re-ordering.
- Production process capacity planning.
- All products can be described in terms of components or ingredients utilising single or multiple tier definitions, with the option of alternative versions for the same product. Additionally, production rates and costs, preferred and mandatory locations including process lines may be associated with all products.
Using this information, specific sub systems are available to aid planning and assist managers in manipulating and re-assessing plans at all three levels.
Each sub system utilises the relevant information available from the database. For example long term MRP is integrated with the raw material contract functions to provide operational and background information for buyers and purchasing managers.
With the planning functionality within Compac Gold's Producer module you can count on:
- Automatic or manual production allocation to process lines, with utilisation versus capacity comparisons.
- Integration with incoming sales orders showing material requirements, stocks and potential shortages for just in time planning.
- Integration with Process Control Systems for both plan download and feedback.
- Automated transfers to aid re-planning when breakdowns occur.
