Process Control
Process controllers lie at the heart of many manufacturing operations. They control the physical process and essentially record and report on what materials have been used, plant utilisation, formulations or recipes.
Duplication of information between process controllers and commercial software packages is common, with the exception of Compac Gold which eliminates it. The integration with process control systems to our package enables the capture of real time production data so the production manager can maximise output and minimise production cost.
There are user definable parameters within Compac Gold, which allow the user to map the production plant in global terms for example production rates, level one cross contamination rules and production restrictions, so delivering detailed production analysis for improved control over downtime and shift and production line performance.
Additional functionality inherent in Compac Gold's production module makes use of varying product constraints to enable automatic generation of suggested production plans based upon actual sales orders taken. This then forms the basis of a plan, which can be manipulated in the light of experience and then sent to the process controller for level two cross contamination checks and production batching. Alternatively the production plan can be built manually before being transferred.
Process Controller integration ensures that when products are made and materials used Compac Gold is immediately aware and can provide audit reports and comparisons of actual .v. theoretical and actual .v. target and theoretical .v. target both in terms of quantity and value. This enables mill managers to view the costs of substitutions, weighing variances and yields. Additional timing information can be retrieved to enable the plant model to be updated.
