Cal Software has a large wealth of experience when it comes to consultancy work, ranging from estate agency to energy management and brokering. Through wide ranging professional business and technical skills, we are able to provide customers with a solution not only focused on their requirements, but also benefiting from the learning experiences gained in the wider world.
Over the years we have developed and adopted standards, to enable solution delivery within the constraints of very tight deadlines. In order to achieve this without sacrificing quality and preventing the user from having input into the solution, we maintain highly skilled and experienced staff with direct industry expertise where possible. Whether supplying part of a development team for a Joint Application Development (JAD) with the customer, or being responsible for the whole project we are able to manage the risk and deliver on time and on budget.
To deliver on commitments we utilise a rapid application development approach (RAD) which is managed under the Dynamic Systems Development Method (DSDM). DSDM is used to provide a management framework through which to develop the solution in partnership with the customer. This is achieved whilst being focused on deliverables and providing a management structure to ensure the project is on track and within budget.
In short, by developing a solution using RAD techniques to ensure the customer gets the solution he wants and requires quickly, DSDM ensures that the project focus is maintained. The focus is continually monitored through the management of clearly defined goals and deliverables, which are in tune with the customers own user-base who provide an "Ambassador User" to interface with the development team.
