Software Products
The two Windows software packages specifically designed for the Agricultural Supply Industry and the Food Supply Chain are Compac Gold and Generation. Both products have been designed in collaboration with the industry, incorporating many of the features of our Compac Classic and Seed Classic packages, which are character based and deployed and running successfully in many UK agricultural companies. This pedigree and the close involvement by the Agricultural Supply industry in the creation of Compac Gold and Generation has ensured the success of both packages, which have been deployed in companies ranging in size from one or two users up to over 150, both in the UK and abroad.
Compac Gold is a highly configurable package with Enterprise Resource Planning features and a sophisticated Management Reporting Suite. It is utilised to source and trade as well as the processing and distribution of commodities and food products.
Generation is a highly specialised package for monitoring, processing, certification and distribution of agricultural seed. It was designed as a replacement for Seeds Classic, which operated in companies supplying more than 50% of UK grown seeds. It is the product of a formalised alliance with several UK Seed companies and consultation with DEFRA.
Both Compac Gold and Generation are written using the Progress Fourth Generation Language (4GL) and database, which ensures they are open in design and available to the user across most computer hardware platforms and operating systems.
