Compac Gold is designed to enable its users to meet the requirements of the British Medicines Act (Royal Pharmaceutical Society Great Britain). This entails facilities to maintain stocks of all materials, finished products and production at individual batch levels.

Maintenance of data to this level of detail is not mandatory and a structure appropriate to particular processes may be defined when the database is set up.
